La Tour Pissarro
A small air-conditioned stone tower for two, once the studio of the painter Georges Pissarro, in the middle of the large garden of the Sarrasins estate.
The tower
Set on the retaining wall above the lane, in the large garden of the Sarrasins estate, this small stone tower dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. It housed the studio of the painter Georges Manzana Pissarro (1871–1961), son of Camille Pissarro: traces of his brushes can still be seen on the window sill.
In 1962 and 1963, the singer Barbara stayed here several times.
Today La Tour Pissarro is an air-conditioned cottage for two, peaceful in the middle of a very large garden: the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the essentials.

Inside
On the ground floor, the small living room is arranged around the fireplace and the window that opens onto the fields. The new kitchenette is fully equipped, and the shower room with WC is on the same level.
A staircase leads up to the bedroom under the beams, which sleeps two in a double or twin beds. The tower is air-conditioned, for cool nights even in high summer.

Garden and pool
All around the tower stretches the large garden of the Sarrasins estate, at the foot of the cliff, overlooking the Dordogne valley.
Close by, the 27-metre pool of La Maison des Sarrasins, shared with the other guests of the estate, has an exceptional view over the valley.

Access and parking
Designated parking is available for our guests. The car park is 650 metres from the estate, a 10 to 15-minute walk. You can charge your electric vehicle at a rate of €20 per charge (€10 for a hybrid vehicle).
Access to the estate, through the narrow lanes of the village, is complicated: please study it before you arrive. If you cannot carry your luggage through the lanes, a paid valet service, to be booked in advance, will meet you at the car park.
